Switch home insurance cover
New findings from Virgin Money revealed that nearly 80% of people have not considered switching their buildings and contents insurance in the past 18 months — and many have no idea how much they are paying.
Virgin Money estimates that consumers can save an average of 40% by moving insurer.
Some consumers are aren’t afraid to switch providers for a better deal. But the majority don’t think it’s worth the effort and are more inclined to renew rather than look around for a better deal.
It certainly does pay to shop around. Research from consumer watchdogs shows that many people could make significant savings by switching their house insurance to another insurer.
